Invite Ben Capelle from Laketran to Speak
Laketran’s CEO Ben Capelle offers 17 years of experience in public transportation administration and has held positions that oversee operations, construction management, labor management, procurement and grants, and maintenance.
As Lake County’s largest bus fleet in Lake County, Laketran transports over 750,000 customers every year with a fleet of 123 buses. Laketran takes pride in providing professional, friendly, safe and affordable transportation to the residents of Lake County. Laketran employs over 200 employees with a varying skill sets including drivers, mechanics, hostlers, dispatchers, customer service representatives, supervisors and administrative positions.
Prior to joining Laketran in 2012, Capelle served as the General Manager of Clermont Transportation Connection in Clermont County, Ohio. His statewide experience also includes working as a bus operator at Kent State University and The Ohio State University. He worked at First Transit located in Cincinnati prior to Clermont Transportation.
Ben graduated from The Ohio State University and was honored as Top 4 under 40 by the Ohio Public Transit Association in 2018.
