What is the "A-tech Engineering Summer Camp?"
The A-tech Engineering Summer Camp is a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)-to-career summer camp at A-tech for Ashtabula County students going into 9th grade (current 8th graders). At camp, students learn about the connections between STEM concepts and in-demand manufacturing careers. Campers will build small combat robots, meet industry experts, learn engineering design software, complete hands-on projects, learn about manufacturing technology, and much more! The goal of the camp is to allow young people to experience in-demand manufacturing careers.
A-tech Engineering Summer Camp is operated by the Alliance for Working Together (AWT) Foundation in partnership with A-tech; Ashtabula County Commissioners; Ashtabula County Job & Family Services; OhioMeansJobs Ashtabula; Growth Partnership for Ashtabula County; Gazette Newspapers; Grand Valley Schools; Country Neighbor; local Ashtabula County businesses; and the office of Congressman Dave Joyce.
